Our approach is to assist clients to avoid civil disputes and criminal proceedings, wherever possible. Where civil disputes and criminal proceedings are unavoidable, we are sensitive and flexible as to our clients’ requirements. Some areas of dispute are time-sensitive, requiring a confident, prompt approach through litigation. In other cases, ADR techniques, such as Mediation and Early Neutral Evaluation, may be suitable.

Many of our clients’ cases are of interest to the press and we are well used to managing them in order to limit publicity or to avoid points that generate adverse publicity. Our litigation focus has enabled us to establish close working relationships with specialist counsel in all of our practice areas.

Knights provides 24-hour legal advice services for a number of organisations and their members: there is always a member of the firm on call.

We are used to making emergency applications to the High Court for injunctive relief and to dealing with criminal incidents and inquiries occurring outside normal working hours.
